Pregnant Woman Among 3 Killed in Suspected Gang Shooting in Spain

On Sunday evening, three individuals were shot dead in Isla Cristina, a town located in Huelva, Andalusia, Spain, in what is believed to be a revenge attack related to drug trafficking. Among the deceased were a pregnant woman in her eighth month, a 62-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old boy, with the unborn child also perishing. Two additional individuals sustained injuries. The incident unfolded when two masked assailants on a motorcycle approached and opened fire, leaving the victims on the street. The Guardia Civil has initiated an investigation, suspecting ties to drug-related disputes. The two women were reportedly the mother and sister of a man linked to a fatal shooting in September 2024. Mayor Genaro Orta labeled the scene as 'horrific,' while Regional Premier Juanma Moreno condemned the attack as 'intolerable,' calling for increased public safety resources.
