Praktika’s NAI identity draws on Lithuanian floor tiles

architecture-design · 2026-04-02

Lithuanian studio Praktika, led by Rokas Sutkaitis and Julius Seniūnas, designed a visual identity for the National Institute of Architecture (NAI) in Kaunas, inspired by the black-and-white folk floor tiles of its UNESCO-listed post office building. The grid-based system, resembling a mosaic, can scale across print, digital, and wayfinding. The NAI will present a Lithuanian pavilion at the 2027 Venice Architecture Biennale, where the identity will be tested internationally.
