Prague's Summer Art Scene: From David Lynch to Feminist Art History
This summer, Prague's cultural institutions are offering a diverse program encompassing photography, painting, design, and feminist art history. The Museum of Decorative Arts is hosting a retrospective of Fred Kramer (1913–1994), a prominent Czech advertising photographer, featuring his renowned work, Madonna of Košíře. The National Gallery's exhibition 'Silent Spring. Art and Nature 1930–1970' showcases nearly 100 pieces exploring the relationship between humans and nature. Pavel Jasanský (1938–2021) is highlighted at the Prague City Gallery with his documentary series. Czech Design Week 2025 will extend its reach to Mánes Exhibition Hall, Clam-Gallas Palace, and Café Slavia. Kunsthalle Praha presents 'And We'll Never Be Parted' with Anna-Eva Bergman and Hans Hartung, while the National Gallery emphasizes female artists in 'Women artists 1300–1900'. DOX Centre features David Lynch's 'up in flames', and Museum Kampa honors Stanislav Kolíbal's centenary.
