Prague Design Week 2017: Czech and International Designers at Dancing House
During Prague Design Week, over eighty designers, stylists, artisans, and students from both Czech Republic and abroad presented their creations at the Dancing House, emphasizing ecological initiatives and local craftsmanship. Among the highlights, Atelier Paletky showcased furniture crafted from high-quality wood pallets, while Filip Dockal and Jan Dolezel introduced the 'no. Eight' seat. Vladan Behal Design studio merged wood with metal in their designs. Located in the Karlin industrial zone, interactive exhibits included 'Mickeyphon,' a kinetic sculpture by panGenerator for Disney. In the old town, design shops offered works by Jiří Pelcl and Bořek Šípek. The Kvalitář Gallery, established by Jiří Kučera and Marek Habr in 2012, delves into design and art.
