Prado Museum's Immersive Video Installation Explores Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights
The Prado Museum in Madrid has unveiled 'Jardín infinito', a large-scale video installation created for the fifth centenary of Hieronymus Bosch's death. Conceived by artist Álvaro Perdices and filmmaker Andrés Sanz, the project transforms Bosch's masterpiece 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' into a navigable environment. In Room C of the museum, an 18-channel multiprojection covers walls from floor to ceiling, allowing visitors to explore multiple pathways through the painting. High-resolution photographs enlarge tiny details, making minuscule creatures loom over viewers. The 75-minute experience includes 16 original music tracks by Santiago Rapallo and Javier Adán. Visitors can also enjoy partial segments of the installation.
