Prada worst performer in Interbrand's 2017 luxury brand ranking

Interbrand's 2017 Best Global Brands ranking shows Prada as the worst performer among luxury brands and the second-worst in the entire top 100, with a 14% decline in brand value. Only Hewlett Packard performed worse at -19%. Prada dropped to 94th place, down from a 12% loss the previous year, and risks falling out of the top 100 by 2018, as Ralph Lauren did this year. Among eight luxury brands in the ranking, only Hermès (+11%, 32nd) and Gucci (+6%, 51st) grew. Louis Vuitton remains the top luxury brand at 19th place but saw a 4% decrease. Cartier (65th), Tiffany & Co. (81st), Burberry (86th), and Dior (95th) also appear. In fast fashion, Zara grew 11% to 24th, while H&M dropped 10%. Adidas posted the highest growth in the entire top 100 at +17% but remains far behind Nike (18th, $27 billion, +8%). Apple leads the overall ranking at $184 billion, followed by Google, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Samsung, Toyota, and Facebook.
