Postmasters Gallery Hosts Multiple Exhibitions Through Spring 2007

Postmasters Gallery at 459 W 19 Street in New York City presents several exhibitions through spring 2007. Anthony Goicolea shows large-scale black and white photographs up to eight feet wide, depicting surreal derelict landscapes with traces of human interaction. David Diao's new work maintains formal elegance while addressing his family's displacement by the Chinese government, replacing rueful humor with emotional intensity. Diana Cooper also exhibits at the gallery. An exhibition of drawings and watercolors runs this fall, while another show combining virtual reality and assemblage remains on view through March 31. The gallery's final day is Saturday, April 27. Pratt Institute's Digital Arts program instructors present artist-made video games. Concurrent exhibitions include Leandro Erlich at Sean Kelly, Alex Katz at Gavin Brown's enterprise, and Haim Steinbach at Tanya Bonakdar Gallery.
