Posthumous Ennio Tamburi Exhibition Opens at CRAC Taranto

The CRAC Puglia in Taranto will host 'Continuo', a posthumous exhibition of works by Ennio Tamburi (1936–2018), opening December 15, 2018. The show, curated by Luca Arnaudo and Roberto Lacarbonara, was planned with the artist before his death. It features past and recent works, including large-format drawings and watercolors, exploring nature, time, and life through abstract painterly gestures. Lacarbonara describes the exhibition as a continuation of CRAC's focus on drawing and graphic art, following a show by Strazza. Tamburi's legacy lies in giving the sign the fecundity of imagination. The exhibition includes pieces from the 2012 retrospective at the Galleria Nazionale di Roma. CRAC, founded on a collection of preparatory studies by historic artists, is chaired by Giulio De Mitri. In 2019, the center plans new acquisitions and a group show from the Il Bulino collection, continuing a project at the Galleria dell'Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata.
