Portland Art Museum Unveils Yinka Ilori's Monumental Asphalt Painting at New Plaza

The Portland Art Museum will mark the inauguration of the Cultural District Plaza on August 8, featuring the unveiling of Yinka Ilori's monumental asphalt painting, "Mountains Full of Blessings." Hundreds of local volunteers contributed to the artwork during a community painting day in July. The opening celebration includes a noon ribbon-cutting ceremony and an artist talk with Ilori. Performances by Heidi Duckler Dance/Northwest and 45th Parallel Universe will also take place.
