Porte ad Arte: international muralism call for under-40s in Turin
The Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, known as MiBACT, has launched an exciting initiative called Porte ad Arte, aimed at encouraging artists under 40 to beautify the suburbs of Turin with murals. This effort is part of their broader project, Piano per l'Arte contemporanea, which aims to bring contemporary culture to underserved areas. The initiative is being organized in collaboration with various local cultural institutions and targets two public buildings from the early 1900s in northern Turin. Artists, including graphic designers and architects, will work with children using these spaces. Two winners will receive €2,000 each, plus €2,500 for project expenses, and must also conduct workshops for kids and teachers. The deadline for submissions is July 4.
