Portas Vilaseca Galeria presents 'Fogo Corredor' collective exhibition exploring supernatural fire legends

In Rio de Janeiro, the Portas Vilaseca Galeria is hosting 'Fogo Corredor,' a group exhibition curated by Lucas Albuquerque that showcases the works of twenty artists. This exhibition delves into the captivating tales and myths surrounding fire, drawing inspiration from the supernatural folklore of Northern and Northeastern Brazil. On the ground floor, artists André Griffo, Thiago Martins de Melo, and Manuela Costa Lima explore the symbolism of fire within both Christian and pagan contexts. Meanwhile, Paloma Bosquê, Ayla Tavares, and Alex Cerveny craft stories centered on rituals. The third floor presents fire's spectral narratives through a contemporary lens, featuring Guerreiro do Divino Amor, biarritzzz, and Randolpho Lamonier. The exhibition is open from November 13 to October 10, 2026, Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 7pm, and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm at Rua Dona Mariana, 137, casa 2, Botafogo.
