Porsche Revives Manual 911 Carrera S for 2027 with MT Package

Porsche has announced the return of the manual transmission option for the 911 Carrera S, citing overwhelming customer demand. The 2027 Carrera S with MT package will be available in both coupe and cabriolet body styles, starting at $169,450 and $183,350 respectively, with the option initially limited to North America. The MT package includes a six-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel steering, PASM Sport suspension (lowering ride height by 11 mm), Sport Chrono package, titanium exhaust tips, and standard center-locking wheels. The car weighs 3,327 pounds, just 11 pounds heavier than the Carrera T. It features a walnut gear shifter, a rear-window decal showing the shifter pattern, and is offered in 17 exterior finishes including Aubergine. The powertrain remains the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six producing 473 hp and 391 ft lbs of torque, enabling a 0-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph. With this addition, 911 buyers will have seven manual options starting in 2027, including the Carrera T, GT3, GT3 with Touring Package, and GT3 S/C. The MT package costs about $13,000 more than the standard Carrera S.
