Pop-up editorial lab in Lodi creates collective newspaper
Artist Marvin Gabriele Nwachukwu (born 1996, Sesto San Giovanni) brings a two-day pop-up editorial lab to Lodi's city center as part of Platea's programming. On January 31 and February 1, 2026, the project 'Una tantum. Notiziario Lodigiano' invites the public to collaboratively write and produce a single independent publication using analog tools. Participants gather in Piazza del Broletto during two shifts on Saturday (10-13 and 14-17) to share personal experiences, which are then transformed into text and laid out manually. The process culminates in a print party on Sunday February 1 at 16:00, where the newspaper is printed, distributed, and read collectively, accompanied by a live set from musician Elemento. Nwachukwu, a visual artist and graphic designer who has produced special editions with artists and cultural institutions since 2021, is joined by musical artist Sonia Garcia. The event is the latest episode of Platea's 'Nine Out Of Ten Movie Stars Make Me Cry' program, curated by Gabriella Rebello Kolandra, and features a selection of music cassettes chosen by the artist. Concurrently, Platea's 2026 program includes the exhibition 'Passeggiata (verso sud)' by Linda Carrara, curated by Gaspare Luigi Marcone, on view in the window of Palazzo Galeano in Corso Umberto until March 12. The triptych explores Carrara's relationship with the Adda River through a 'peripatetic process' blending walking and painting.
