Pop Forever: Tom Wesselmann Retrospective Opens at Fondation Louis Vuitton

The Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, designed by Frank Gehry, is marking its tenth birthday with an exhibit titled "Pop Forever, Tom Wesselmann &…," which will run from October 17, 2024, to February 24, 2025. Curators Dieter Buchhart and Anna Karina Hofbauer will fill all four floors with Wesselmann's work, exploring the evolution of Pop Art. The showcase includes Wesselmann’s famous American nudes and features artists like Evelyne Axell, Jasper Johns, and Andy Warhol. It also highlights Dadaists like Marcel Duchamp and contemporary voices such as Jeff Koons and Ai Weiwei, who address globalization. New artworks from Derrick Adams and Yayoi Kusama are also part of this exciting celebration, honoring Wesselmann's impactful journey in art.
