In Rome's Rione Ponte, nestled between Castel Sant'Angelo and Piazza Navona, a new permanent district dedicated to design and art has been launched, known as the Ponte Art and Design District. This initiative, spearheaded by Roma Faber—established in 2023—with backing from Regione Lazio and local organizations, comprises 28 businesses. It aims to showcase creative talent through various events. The district will officially open from September 18-24, 2025, offering free workshops and discussions. Following this, from October 2025 to July 2026, more workshops and events will take place. Plans also include pedestrianizing Via dei Banchi Nuovi to foster a vibrant hub for design and craftsmanship, boosting the local economy and cultural tourism.
