Pompeii Commitment expands with publication and Digital Fellowship program
The Pompeii Commitment program at the Parco Archeologico di Pompei is expanding with two exciting projects launching in autumn 2022. One of these is its first-ever print publication titled 'Pompeii Commitment. Archaeological Matters: 2020-2022,' which is produced by Silvana Editoriale and features contributions from over 60 artists, curators, writers, activists, and archaeologists, including names like Giulio Paolini and Lara Favaretto. Additionally, a new yearly Digital Fellowship, curated by Andrea Viliani and Stella Bottai, will support artists and designers researching Pompeii's archaeological materials. The inaugural group for 2022-2023 includes talents like Formafantasma and Anri Sala. Also, the My Pompeii app offers public access to a digital archive of the site’s artifacts, a project started in 2020 by former director Massimo Osanna.
