Pompeii Artebus: New Shuttle Connects Archaeological Sites Starting December 4
The Archaeological Park of Pompeii launches POMPEII ARTEBUS, a free minibus service starting December 4, 2021, linking Pompeii with Boscoreale, Oplontis, and Stabia. The initiative, funded by Campania>Artecard and operated with Scabec and EAV, runs until January 17, 2022, and again from April 1 to July 4, 2022. Director Gabriel Zuchtriegel emphasizes the need for better connectivity to allow visitors to understand historical connections. Oplontis, 7 km away, features well-preserved frescoes at the Villa of Poppea; Boscoreale Antiquarium, 4 km away, displays everyday Roman artifacts including carbonized food. The service is free for ticket holders, including MyPompeii card and Campania>Artecard pass holders.
