Polys Peslikas selected for Cyprus Pavilion at 2017 Venice Biennale
Polys Peslikas will create Cyprus's national presentation at the 2017 Venice Biennale. The Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus made the selection of the painter for this prestigious international exhibition. Jan Verwoert serves as curator for the pavilion, which will explore Eastern Mediterranean crossroads through artistic dialogue. Peslikas's work will be shown alongside contributions from Neoterismoi Toumazou, Mirene Arsanios, and Valentinos Charalambous. Associazione Culturale Spiazzi will host the exhibition near the Arsenale from May 13 to November 26. This independent art center provides the venue for the Republic of Cyprus's participation throughout the Biennale's full duration.
