Politi Seganfreddo Edizioni: New Italian Publisher for Contemporary Culture

Politi Seganfreddo Edizioni, a new Italian publishing house dedicated to contemporary themes, launches in February 2023. Founded by Gea Politi and Cristiano Seganfreddo, with philosopher Leonardo Caffo as editorial director, the imprint aims to fill a gap in the Italian market by blending genres: nonfiction, fiction, contemporary art, fashion, science, philosophy, experimental poetry, music theory, and curatorial reflection. The first six titles arrive on February 24, 2023, including 'Amarcord Vol.1', a memoir by Giancarlo Politi (founder of Flash Art) drawn from his newsletter series, with a preface by Francesco Bonami. The publisher plans 14 additional titles. Caffo states two objectives: market positioning for readers dissatisfied with mainstream publishing, and an intellectual mission to give voice to underrepresented writers and translate global contemporary culture, elevating sectors like fashion, experimental music, and curatorial practice.
