cultural-heritage · 2026-05-04

To commemorate the centenary of Poland's independence in 1918, following 123 years of partition, Rome is hosting a series of seven lectures entitled 'Polish Avant-Garde: Culture and Art after the Regaining of Independence.' This initiative, co-funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland through the Polska 100 program, is taking place at the Museo Laboratorio di Arte Contemporanea and the Istituto Polacco di Roma, running until December 14. The project, developed by Professor Claudio Zambianchi and his team, seeks to reconstruct the Polish artistic landscape post-World War I. Notable speakers include Luigi Marinelli, Andrzej Turowski, Karolina Ziębińska-Lewandowska, Piotr Rypson, Luiza Nader, Jarosław Suchan, and Paulina Kurc-Maj.
