Polimoda Duets launches with Marina Abramović interview series
Polimoda, the Florence-based fashion school, has launched Polimoda Duets, a video interview series featuring iconic figures from contemporary art and culture. The first episode stars performance artist Marina Abramović (born 1946 in Belgrade). The series is part of the school's broader initiative to engage students with art, music, and cinema through guest lectures and panel discussions, including the Polimoda Rendez-Vous (with Marco Bizzarri and Renzo Rosso) and the Fashion Displacement panels. In the interview, Abramović discusses her 'Abramović Method' as a way to counter technology's dominance and reconnect people with their emotions and simplicity. The video was released online on YouTube, Instagram TV, and Facebook, coinciding with her exhibition 'Marina Abramović. The Cleaner' at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. The project was conceived by director Danilo Venturi, with interviews by Francesco Brunacci and video by Piero Fragola & Elephant Studio.
