Pluri Modular System by Naessi Studio at Milan Design Week 2026

architecture-design · 2026-05-06

At Milan Design Week 2026, Woak presented Pluri, a modular storage system designed by Naessi studio, within the Convey space. The system evokes a Jenga tower, emphasizing balance, stacking, and reconfigurability. Its name derives from the Latin prefix 'pluri-', signifying multiplicity. Pluri is built from a primary unit—a drawer or open compartment—that can be replicated and combined to form an evolving archive. The system was showcased in an exhibition curated by /àr-o/ studio, Woak's art director, alongside new collections by Antonio De Marco and Woak's updated color palette. Naessi founders Eleonora and Alessandro describe Pluri as emerging from their practice of collecting material fragments and small objects, such as obsidian from a forest, a Japanese aluminum ruler, brass pieces, and flea market finds, treating storage as an aesthetic and affective gesture. The project balances function and expressive freedom, with each rearrangement creating a new equilibrium.
