Plenitude's Sustainability Installations in Bergamo for Italian Capital of Culture 2023
Bergamo and Brescia have been designated the Italian Capital of Culture for 2023, prompting a series of cultural and sustainability initiatives. Plenitude, a benefit corporation of Eni serving over 10 million European energy customers with 2.5 GW of renewable capacity, is actively participating through events and installations in Bergamo. The latest is 'Feeling the Energy' at Parco Suardi, open until October 15, created by Carlo Ratti Associati with architect Italo Rota. It features over 500 meters of digitally bent antibacterial copper tubing from KME that absorbs and produces energy inspired by plant life, along with interactive stations like Energy Carousel, Garden Orchestra, and a vibraphone. Earlier, from September 16 to 19, Plenitude took part in the European Mobility Week with a Be Charge stand in Piazza della Libertà, offering driving simulators, VR videos, and charging stations. On April 12, the exhibition 'Visioni di un futuro presente' opened at Palazzo della Libertà, curated by Luca Molinari and promoted by Plenitude, ANCE Bergamo, and the City of Bergamo, showcasing the city's past and present through images until September 17. These efforts underscore Plenitude's commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
