Playable Museum Award 2019: 10,000 Euro Grant for Creative Museum Experiences

The second edition of the Playable Museum Award, launched on March 25, 2019, by the Museo Marino Marini in Florence under the direction of Patrizia Asproni and coordinated by engagement scientist and game designer Fabio Viola, seeks original projects that experiment with new forms of museum fruition. The deadline has been extended to August 31, 2019. The award offers a 10,000 euro grant and mentorship from an international jury of experts. The first edition was won by Arvind Sanjieev with his project Lumen, a mixed reality storytelling platform that uses virtual and augmented reality without isolating viewers, set to be presented at the WTE Unesco World Heritage Sites and Cities Fair in Rome from September 26-28, 2019. The call is open to creatives worldwide including artists, designers, urbanists, cultural managers, stylists, makers, artisans, developers, storytellers, architects, game designers, videogame creators, musicians, writers, graphic designers, physicists, mathematicians, biologists, chemists, and virtual/augmented reality producers.
