PlasMAH turns Geneva museum into fluid laboratory
The Musée d’art et d’histoire de Genève launches the sixth edition of its experimental summer program PlasMAH on July 16, 2026. Two young artists transform a wing of the museum into an unashamed laboratory exploring the liquid body—its orifices, desires, and intimate architecture—in insolent dialogue with ancient marble sculptures. The program features organic sculptures, water videos, and sound installations inspired by gargoyles, fountains, and Roman bath plumbing, disrupting Western body narratives. PlasMAH, initiated in 2021, annually grants carte blanche to contemporary artists to engage with the museum's collections.
