Plants Dub: Intervista al duo che fonde musica dub e bioacustica

Plants Dub, a collaborative initiative between lighting designer and art historian Maria Teresa Santoro and producer DJ Francesco Andreani De Vito (known as Dubin), merges electronic music with bioacoustic research to foster a musical dialogue between humans and plants. Their debut track, 'Phoenix Canariensis', inspired by the lymphatic rhythm of a palm, is available on YouTube, Vimeo, and Soundcloud. Cristian Sabatelli directed the accompanying video, featuring guitar work by Manu Funk and production by No Finger Nails. Currently, Plants Dub is expanding its digital archive of musical compositions, theoretical research, installations, and performances, while working with the University of Salento's biological and environmental sciences department, particularly professors Marcello Lenucci and Piero Medagli. The project is actively promoting itself within Lecce and Salento's vibrant art scene, collaborating with venues like Spazio A //casa-studio di Alessia Rollo, LO.FT, FAC, Studio Concreto, Pia Studio, and Aaltra.
