Pittsburgh Opens Arts Landing as Carnegie International and Three Rivers Arts Festival Converge
The $31 million Arts Landing in Pittsburgh, a four-acre public park along the Allegheny River, had a soft opening during the NFL Draft from April 23 to 25, 2026. Its official grand opening is scheduled for June 5–7 and June 11–14, aligning with the Three Rivers Arts Festival. Created by Field Operations, the park includes a Great Lawn, a band shell, a Garden Walk, a playground, and a multi-use recreation area. Curated by Anastasia James, a rotating public art program showcases six out of seven major artworks, featuring eight bronze sculptures by Thaddeus Mosley, who passed away on March 6, 2026. The 67th Three Rivers Arts Festival will take place in June, while the 59th Carnegie International is on display at the Carnegie Museum of Art until January 3, 2027.
