Pitti Fragranze 2023: Record Growth and International Expansion in Artistic Perfumery
The 21st edition of Pitti Fragranze took place at Stazione Leopolda in Florence from September 15 to 17, 2023, organized by Pitti Immagine. This year’s event showcased 189 brands, with 75% of them hailing from overseas, and drew nearly 1,600 attendees from 50 nations. Compared to September 2022, attendance surged by 28%, with a 47% increase in international buyers and a rise of over 22% in Italian buyers, totaling around 1,160. CEO Raffaello Napoleone described it as "one of the best editions ever," featuring 86 newcomers. The primary markets represented were France, Spain, and Germany. The theme, "Percezione Reinventata," sought to merge current and future perspectives, highlighted by an installation from Paola Gariboldi and Susanna Macchia, showcasing AI art by perfumers Alberto Morillas, Coralie Spicher, Serge Majoullier, and Jérôme Di Marino.
