Pitmarels' Sticker Illusions Arrive in Tuscany: Stickerland at Art Lucerna Gallery
From July 21 to August 8, 2026, the Art Lucerna Gallery in Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany, will host a solo exhibition titled Stickerland by artist Pitmarels, curated by Alisia Viola. This will be Pitmarels’ third show at the gallery, showcasing his unique 'Sticking Detach' method that turns stickers into artistic expressions. He describes his approach by saying, "The sticker becomes my brush, my color, my canvas." At first glance, his works look like paintings, but a closer inspection reveals layers of stickers, challenging viewers' perceptions. The exhibition will include pieces from the 'Mypantone' series, his first sculpture inspired by Bernini’s 'Ecstasy of Saint Teresa,' and a work featuring Meg Ryan from 'When Harry Met Sally,' merging high art with pop culture.
