Pistoletto's Third Paradise Takes Shape on Rome's Tiber Riverbanks

On October 7, 2023, Michelangelo Pistoletto's installation, Third Paradise, will debut along the Tiber River in Rome. This artwork features twenty benches made from recycled plastic, representing the concept of the Third Paradise. Organized by TEVERETERNO, it is situated in Piazza Tevere between Ponte Sisto and Ponte Mazzini. Pistoletto, who celebrated his 90th birthday in 2023, is expected to be present at the opening. The installation, designed to avoid obstructing the bike path, will be on display until October 14, encouraging reflections on public spaces by the Tiber. Artistic performances, debates, and musical events will take place within the circles of the infinity symbol. Additionally, Pistoletto's exhibition "Michelangelo Pistoletto. Molti di uno" will open at Castello di Rivoli on November 2, 2023, and will continue until February 25, 2024.
