Pipilotti Rist's Prolific and Condensed Oeuvre

Pipilotti Rist has been producing art since 1986 that fuses rigor with exuberance across various mediums, including video, film, installation, music, and artist books. Her exploration of themes such as imaginary spaces, boundaries, movement, the body, and sexual energy is evident in significant pieces like 'Ever is Over All' (1997) showcased in Venice and 'Himalaya Goldsteins Living Room' (1999) at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. The book 'Apricots along the Street' (Scalo, 2001) was published alongside an exhibition at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Rist's diverse works range from intimate projections to the large-scale 'Open My Glade' (2000) in Times Square. Influenced by Yoko Ono, she frequently features in her pieces, including 'Me as a Human Being' (2000). Recent exhibitions took place at Museum Ludwig Cologne (1999) and Kunsthalle Zürich (1999).
