Pino sotto le stelle returns with music and film under the stars

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The second edition of Pino sotto le stelle, a cultural festival conceived in 2020 by the association TUM, is taking place in Pino Torinese, Italy. The event features four outdoor appointments—two concerts and two film screenings—held in the former cable car area of the Planetario, a UNESCO natural heritage site. The inaugural evening on July 16 included a 60-minute hypnotic dialogue between guitarist Paolo Spaccamonti and trumpeter Ramon Moro, introduced by astrophysicist Emanuele Balboni of Infini.to (Museo dell’Astronomia e Planetario di Torino) and marked by the passage of the International Space Station. The performance served as a prelude to the Jazz is dead 2021 Light Version festival, organized by TUM, scheduled for September 10–12 in Turin, featuring Attila Csihar, Félicia Atkinson, and Xabier Iriondo. Upcoming events include screenings of Ridley Scott's The Martian (July 23) and Wall-E (August 6), and live sets by Bob Rocket and Wicked Expectation (July 30). Mayor Alessandra Tosi highlighted the festival as a symbol of reopening and community togetherness.
