Pino Pascali and Claudio Cintoli in Dialogue at Polignano a Mare

The Fondazione Museo Pino Pascali in Polignano a Mare presents "Dialoghi 3.0. Pino Pascali e Claudio Cintoli," a comparative exhibition exploring the affinities and differences between two pivotal Italian artists of the 1960s. Curated by Ludovico Pratesi and D. Ferraria, the show highlights their parallel trajectories: both arrived in Rome in the mid-1950s, produced pop-inflected collages around 1964, and made animated films. Pascali died in 1968, Cintoli in 1978. The exhibition traces their shared engagement with humble materials, from Pascali's steel wool and foam rubber works to Cintoli's performances involving rope and sack. Key works include Pascali's "Trappola" (1968) and Cintoli's "Crisalide" (1972). The show also features Cintoli's "Giardino per Ursula" (1964-65), a mural at the Piper club, and his text "Per Pascali" (1969).
