Pinault Collection's 'Debout!' Exhibition in Rennes Features Unseen Works and Regional Homecoming
The Pinault Collection is showcasing 'Debout!' in Rennes until 9 September 2018, featuring pieces from 21 artists, many of which are being exhibited to the public for the first time. In the Couvent des Jacobins atrium, Thomas Houseago's sculptures 'Baby' (2009–10) and 'Striding Figure II (Ghost)' (2012) take center stage, alongside paintings from Vincent Gicquel's studio. The exhibition is organized into five thematic sections, which include Thomas Schütte's 'Vater Staat' (2010) and Maurizio Cattelan's 'Him' (2001). Additionally, Tatiana Trouvé's 'Les Dessouvenus' series (2013, 2017) is on display at the Musée des Beaux-Arts. This event precedes the opening of Pinault's Paris museum at the Bourse de Commerce in 2021, while Gicquel's 'C'est Pas Grave' is concurrently exhibited at La Criée Centre for Contemporary Art.
