Pinault Collection Presents Four Global Artists in Dual Venice Exhibitions for 2026
The Pinault Collection has opened four new exhibitions at Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana in Venice. "The Promise of Change," created by Kenyan artist Michael Armitage and curated by Jean-Marie Gallais, showcases 45 pieces that reflect on migration and tensions in East Africa, utilizing Ugandan bark cloth. Indian filmmaker Amar Kanwar features two video works: "The Torn First Pages" (2004-2005) and "The Peacock's Graveyard" (2023). At Punta della Dogana, Lorna Simpson's "Third Person," curated by Emma Lavigne, delves into collage, while Brazilian artist Paulo Nazareth's "Algebra," curated by Fernanda Brenner, offers a critique of colonialism through a slave ship installation and his "Notícias de América" series. These exhibitions will be available from March 29, 2026, to January 10, 2027.
