Pif's documentary explores Dante's modernity for 700th death anniversary

The documentary 'Dante Confidential', directed by Pif and produced by 3D Produzioni for Rai Documentari, airs on Rai Tre on September 13, 2021 in late evening, to mark the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death in 1321. The film features testimonies from cultural figures including Pupi Avati, Dacia Maraini, Vittorio Lingiardi, and Paolo Rumiz, who discuss eight themes from the Divine Comedy that remain relevant today: narcissism and money, politics and migrations, women and gender equality. The documentary explores locations associated with Dante, from Ravenna to Florence, presenting a contemporary reading of the poet.
