Pietro Ruffo opens his studio for Farnesina Collection web series

The fifth episode of the web series 'Spazi d'artista' features Roman artist Pietro Ruffo (born 1978) in his studio at the former Pastificio Cerere, where he has worked for over fifteen years. Ruffo discusses his architectural training at Rome's university and Columbia University in New York, and how tools of architecture—paper, drawing, and geographic maps—strongly influence his artistic practice. The series is a collaboration between Artribune and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to promote the Collezione Farnesina, a collection of modern and contemporary art housed at the Ministry's historic Palazzo della Farnesina in Rome. Ten monthly films will be released from December 2020 to September 2021, available on Artribune's website and social media (Facebook, Instagram). The project also includes Instagram Stories offering micro-insights into the collection and a printed special supplement to Artribune Magazine featuring interviews with three members of the collection's scientific committee: Gianfranco Maraniello, Anna Mattirolo, and Angela Tecce.
