Pierre Huyghe Exhibition at Espace Louis Vuitton Venice During Biennale
Pierre Huyghe presents three key works at Espace Louis Vuitton Venice as part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton's 'Beyond the walls' program, coinciding with the 57th Venice Biennale. The exhibition features the film 'A Journey that wasn't' (2005), documenting an Antarctic expedition aboard an ancient sailing ship with scientists and artists to find a new island formed by melting ice, where an albino penguin supposedly lives. The film includes a musical score performed by a symphony orchestra at Central Park, New York. Also on view are the sound sculpture 'Creature' (2005-2011) and 'Silence Score' (1997), a sonic transcription of John Cage's 4'33''. The show runs at the Venice venue of the Parisian luxury maison's foundation.
