Pierre Daguin's 'The Frank's Wild Years' Exhibition at HOME Gallery Features Erotic Magazine Drawings
From December 17 to January 30, HOME Gallery in Prague will showcase Pierre Daguin's exhibition titled 'The Frank's Wild Years,' celebrating the gallery's inaugural anniversary. The exhibition features Daguin's latest paper artworks, which include line drawings, ink sketches, and felt-tip marker outlines inspired by erotic magazines. Notable pieces include photographs named 'Philip Morris,' 'Kuchen und Lugger,' and 'Psychosex,' along with installations such as 'Children of Marcos' and 'The White Book.' Daguin's artistic approach draws inspiration from Egon Schiele and Hans Bellmer, emphasizing figures that are either highlighted or erased. This marks Daguin's first exhibition in Prague in several years, following his participation in the 1998 Foto Praha-Kolín festival and previous publications like 'The Nude' (1998) and 'French Connection' (2001).
