Piero Ferrari Takes Delivery of 200th Bombardier Challenger 3500 Jet

Piero Ferrari, who is the last surviving son of Enzo Ferrari, just took delivery of a Bombardier Challenger 3500 jet. At 81, he serves as vice chairman at Ferrari and heads the Italian engineering firm HPE-COXA. He plans to use the jet for traveling to Formula 1 events and various business engagements. This marks the 200th Challenger 3500 made, highlighting a big milestone for Bombardier. Introduced in 2021 as a follow-up to the Challenger 350, the jet includes features from the Global 7500, like a voice-activated cabin and Nuage seats. It has a cabin altitude of 4,850 feet, improved soundproofing, and a larger galley, plus a 24-inch 4K display. With a range of 3,400 nautical miles and a max speed of Mach 0.83, it can accommodate 10 passengers. The base price is $26.7 million, and custom options can push it over $30 million. Bombardier hasn’t disclosed what Ferrari chose for the interior design.
