Piero Dorazio and the ZERO Movement: A New Book and Exhibition
The exhibition titled "SPACES OF LIGHT. Piero Dorazio and the International ZERO Movement" alongside a new book delves into the life of Italian artist Piero Dorazio (1927–2005) and the ZERO movement, which was established in the late 1950s by Heinz Mack and Otto Piene. Written by Francesca Pola and released by Skira, the book highlights Dorazio's connections with artists from the ZERO group. Curated by Pola, the exhibition is on display at Cortesi Gallery in Milan until November 30. Although Dorazio never officially became a member of ZERO, he maintained close relationships with Mack and Piene, facilitating Piene's introduction to the University of Pennsylvania and organizing the movement's inaugural US exhibitions. The showcase includes works by Piene and a collection from Dorazio and Mack dating back to the late 1950s.
