Piero della Francesca exhibition sets attendance record at Milan's Poldi Pezzoli Museum
The exhibition titled 'Piero della Francesca. Il polittico agostiniano riunito' at Milan's Museo Poldi Pezzoli has set a record, drawing over 50,000 attendees by June 24, 2024. This event marks the first occasion where the eight remaining panels of the Saint Augustine Polyptych have been displayed together, recreating their original six-meter height. The panels are sourced from the Poldi Pezzoli, Frick Collection, Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, National Gallery, and National Gallery of Art. Under the direction of Alessandra Quarto and with design contributions from Italo Rota and Carlo Ratti, the exhibition has seen an average of 600 visitors each day while also contributing to research on the polyptych's materials and techniques. Additionally, 'Science in Motion' will be available until September 26, 2024.
