Pier Luigi Sacco appointed director of IRVAPP at Bruno Kessler Foundation
The Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) board has named Pier Luigi Sacco, born in Pescara in 1964, as the new director of IRVAPP, taking over from Antonio Schizzerotto, who was born in Malo, Vicenza, in 1944 and has led the institute since its inception in 2008. Sacco, a cultural economist and professor at IULM University in Milan, began his three-year term in 2018. He also serves as a senior researcher at metaLAB Harvard and as a Special Adviser to the European Commissioner for Culture and Education. His goals include enhancing IRVAPP's reputation, promoting trans-disciplinarity, attracting international venture philanthropy, and improving public policy evaluation in Italy, thereby aiding local development in Trentino. FBK, established in 2007, employs over 500 researchers from 25 nations.
