Picca Arte Contemporanea Collection Moves to Former Convent in Monteciccardo

Launched in 2021 by artists Elisa Di Domenicantonio and Giuseppe Tomasello, the Picca Arte Contemporanea collection will find its permanent home at the Conventino dei Serviti di Maria in Monteciccardo, a village in Pesaro. The convent, which dates from 1517 to 1798, recently underwent renovations and reopened in late 2023 as an additional venue for the Fondazione Pescheria di Pesaro. This collection features works contributed by artists between 2021 and 2025, embodying the creators' belief in collecting as an act of creativity rooted in hospitality and sharing. The first exhibition, set for October 11, 2025, in partnership with Pesaro Musei, will showcase a site-specific piece called Eight Light / La stanza di Maria, which will be activated at night. Notable participating artists include Gianluigi Antonelli, Maurizio Battaglia, and many others.
