Picasso, Miró, Dalí: Three Spanish Masters at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan

The exhibition 'I Tre Grandi di Spagna' at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan brings together over 200 works on paper by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Salvador Dalí, tracing their artistic evolution from Catalan roots to international fame. Curated by Joan Abelló, Vittoria Mainoldi, and Carlota Muiños, the show is divided into five sections covering their formation in Catalonia, the influence of Modernisme and Noucentisme, their move to Paris, Surrealism, post-war consolidation, and technical eclecticism. Highlights include preparatory sketches for Picasso's 'Guernica' (1937) with photographs by Dora Maar, Dalí's 'Bacchanale' set design (1939) shown for the first time in Italy, and the complete 'Suite Vollard' (1930-1937) by Picasso, one of only nine complete sets worldwide. The exhibition also explores the role of art dealers like Ambroise Vollard and Aimé Maeght. The show runs at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.
