Pianoterra ETS opens multifunctional community space in Naples in 2026
The association Pianoterra ETS, founded in Naples in 2008 by Alessia Bulgari, Ciro Nesci, and Flaminia Trapani, is opening a new multifunctional community space in the heart of Spaccanapoli in 2026. The space will host educational activities for children from vulnerable backgrounds, starting from the first 1000 days of life, and cultural programs including exhibitions, events, and book presentations. The seventh edition of the fundraising exhibition The Milky Way, hosted by Galleria Continua in San Gimignano until February 17, 2025, is raising funds to create two play areas within the new space. Pianoterra's projects, such as Diritto di poppata and 1000 Giorni, support families in Naples, Rome, and Castel Volturno, reaching over 1,600 parents and 1,000 children. The Milky Way format began in 2012 at Galleria Lia Rumma in Naples and has involved nearly 300 artists across seven editions. The new space aims to counter the effects of overtourism in the historic center by providing a welcoming environment for families.
