Pianoterra Celebrates 10 Years with Art and Photography

institutional · 2026-05-04

The Pianoterra Association, founded in Naples in 2008 to support new mothers and children in need, and its sister Pianoterra Foundation, established in Rome in 2013, are marking a decade of activity. On April 13, 2018, at 4 PM, the event 'Dieci anni di Pianoterra. Un bilancio' will be held at the MANN – Museo Archeologico di Napoli, presenting the mission report. The foundation has engaged nearly a hundred artists in projects like 'Little Ones', a photographic book with a preface by Marina Abramović, and 'Giant', a virtual reality short film by Milica Zec and Winslow Turner Porter III about war. The key initiative is 'The Milky Way', an art exhibition curated by Damiana Leoni to raise funds. The 2018 edition, themed 'Amore tuo/ Your love', returns to Naples at Galleria Lia Rumma, featuring photography works by artists and professional photographers exploring the concept of love.
