Pi Li Appointed Founding Director of Róng Museum in Shenzhen, Set to Open in 2027

Pi Li has been appointed as the founding director of Róng Museum in Shenzhen, beginning his role in February. The museum is scheduled to open to the public in the latter half of 2027. Located in the Houhai district, Róng Museum will occupy approximately 4,500 square meters and is part of the M80 complex developed by Tenova FUTURE. The M80 project is designed as an integrated urban environment combining work, residential, cultural, commercial, recreational, and natural elements, guided by principles of Mutualism, Message, and Memory. Pi Li brings extensive experience from his previous positions, including contributions to the establishment of M+ in Hong Kong and leadership at Tai Kwun Contemporary. The museum aims to present exhibitions with an international outlook, attracting visitors from Greater China and globally. The name "Róng" symbolizes concepts of fusion, blending, and exchange, reflecting the institution's goal to function as an open, inclusive platform for art and learning. The main building structure has been completed, with interior design and construction currently underway. Pi Li expressed gratitude to Tenova FUTURE for their trust and to various supporters for their confidence in the project.
