Phyllida Barlow Selected as British Representative for 2017 Venice Biennale

The British Council has confirmed Phyllida Barlow as Britain's representative for the 2017 Venice Biennale. Barlow expressed astonishment and excitement about the opportunity, describing it as an extraordinary privilege. She noted the challenge of creating work for the imposing architecture of the British pavilion. The artist highlighted the international diversity for which the Biennale is renowned within Venice's unique context.
