PhotoVogue Festival 2023 in Milan Explores AI and Creativity

The PhotoVogue Festival returns to Milan from November 16 to 19, 2023, at BASE, focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence on human existence and image creation. Head of Global PhotoVogue Alessia Glaviano, who founded the festival eight years ago, discusses the ethical and aesthetic challenges posed by AI. The festival includes a three-day symposium (November 17-19) featuring Fred Ritchin, Filippo Venturi, Michael Christopher Brown, Maison Meta (a New York-based studio that produced the first fully AI-generated fashion week), and artists from Google Pixel's creator labs. Topics range from photojournalism and fake news to AI in fashion and art. The exhibition 'Eye Mama,' curated by Karni Arieli, explores motherhood through the lens of female and non-binary photographers. Satellite events will take place at prestigious Milanese galleries. The CondéFuture program offers free mentorship for teenagers by Condé Nast stakeholders. The festival is organized by a team including Chiara Bardelli Nonino, Daniel Rodríguez Gordillo, Caterina De Biasio, and Francesca Marani.
